Architects’ firm appointed on Kent scheme

An architects’ practice has been appointed to design the new 30,000 sq ft Innovation Centre at Kent Medical Campus. Maidstone Borough Council has appointed Bond Bryan Architects for the project. Situated at Junction 7 of the M20, the Innovation Centre will provide a collaborative space for high-growth-potential companies and start-up businesses in the healthcare, medtech and life science sectors. Bond Bryan Architects, which has offices in London and Kent, has been selected to develop designs for the Innovation Centre.In addition, the council has appointed construction consultancy CalfordSeaden to project manage the delivery of the development. Designs for the new facility will be finalised by the end of 2018 at which point a planning application will be submitted to Maidstone Borough Council. The Innovation Centre is expected to be completed by April 2020. The centre will provide serviced office accommodation units, meeting and conferencing space combined with extensive onsite business support.
